Traffic exchanges are programs where the members view each other's web sites. Basically, the members' sites are put in a "pool" and rotated. Each member is required to view the others' sites for a certain amount of time (7 seconds, 10 seconds, 20, etc.) After the member has viewed the site, their account gets a "credit", or a hit to their site. Certain exchanges have different surf ratios, for instance, you must view 2 sites to have yours viewed once (a 2:1 ratio).
